The Paris Porn Film Festival should have started today. It was to have featured a variety of movies, screened at the art house cinema L’Action Christine. They would have included titles by Virginie Despentes and Coralie Trinh-Ti and others featuring the transgender performer Buck Angel.
The organisers have cited “disguised threats”, from “non-governmental organisations”, specifically against the cinema’s owner and are currently “negotiating” to get the festival back up and running again. They refuse to elaborate on the nature of the threats saying that they are currently trying to negotiate a way forward and avoid “retaliation” of an undisclosed nature.
It’s all very mysterious and a little disturbing. We’ll bring you more news when we receive it.

You’d have thought that an industry veteran like John T. Bone would have known that it’s illegal to make porn in Thailand. So why did the Thai police find him, camera in hand and lights a-blazing filming a new gangbang movie in Pattaya Thailand
The Pattaya Daily News reported that John was in the company of local girls and transsexuals, as well as “Brazilian nationals”. Arrested along with John T. Bone (AKA John Bowen) were Morikane, Wittaya Mekwilai, Philipe K. Orivera, Joe Macos Perlaila, Teres Sita Edades Philipina.
All those arrested face up to three years in prison and a fine of up to 6,000 baht – about $180 (US). I’m guessing they’ll be more worried about a custodial sentence than finding the money for the fines …
John seems to enjoy the company of the Thai authorities - He was arrested last year on similar charges when a quantity of DV tapes, sex toys and a list of his customers were seized.
John has directed and produced dozens of films including most recently “Latin Mother Fuckers”, “Hardcore Championship Fucking” , “World’s Biggest Gang Bang” , “World’s Biggest Gang Bang 2” and “Totally Anal”, and appeared in titles such as “Horny Old Men” and “Straight A’s[sic]”.

Time Magazine are reporting that Japan is seeing an increasing deman for what’s being described as “Elder Porn”. I get the feeling this is not quite the MILF-fucking that we see over here in the west. The way it’s described makes it sounds more like an educational video than erotica.
Apparently on senior citizen porn star, featured in Time Shiego Tokuda doesn’t let his 74 years and previous heart attach hold him back. He’s appeared in 350 films over 14 years for Glory Quest. I must admit to being a little sceptical at his claim that his wife doesn’t know. Shiego is apparently his pseudonym, but he might be in for a shock if he thinks that will protect his identity at home when the whole world can read the article and see his picture on the Time website.
Demand for titles featuring older women is increasing at the moment in Japan according to Time, but that doesn’t mean the mature performers are commanding huge salaries. Whereas the young porn stars might be paid $100,000 per film, a mature actress might receive only $2000

The debate about whether or not pornography causes violent behaviour gets an airing on US TV this evening via Penn & Teller’s “Bullshit” show. Not the first people you’d think of to promote a discussion on a subject that polarises opinion in many sections of society. It’ll be interesting to see just how this plays out. Though sadly we will not get the show over in the UK for a while.
The show will feature the representatives from XXXChurch.com and the Family Research Council arguing against porno, and others, including Dr Marty Klein (Author of America’s War On Sex) arguing that there is no proven link between watching porn and violent behaviour.
How much difference this will make in changing the attitudes of those against porn and those in the industry is difficult to tell. The remarkable thing is that it’s being aired at all.

Mercenary Pictures is one of our favourite studios for a number of reasons. The output from Mercenary (at least in the movies we’ve viewed) is pretty conventional in that it’s scene based. However there’s a polish to the production that’s often lacking from adult DVDs and a smattering of “interaction” with the camera the fills out the scenes a little without the actors becoming too camera aware.
So, we’re very happy to hear that Lex is back in another Mercenary Pictures production “MILF Magnet”. Lex is reported as saying that he’s keen to cast a certain type of actress; “Girls that are mature, confident in their sexuality and genuinely enjoy sex are vital qualities”.
